Student Resources

ASU provides the resources outside the classroom to help students succeed.

STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER:  Need help with math, science class, or writing an essay?  The ASU Downtown Student Success Center is here to help.  It provides ASU free tutoring on a number of subjects.  It also has a writing center and offers structured study groups. Having trouble studying at home or in the dorm?  The Student Success Center also offers a quiet place to study.  To see how you can be helped, click here.

ONLINE STUDENT HELP: Just because there are online only students, doesn’t mean they miss out on free tutoring! Any ASU student can get online help with science, math, or other general study courses.  Click here to see all the online support services.

CAREER SERVICES:  Want to get a part-time job while in school?  Need to write a resume or cover letter?  Or start looking for a job before graduation?  ASU Downtown Career Services can help.  Students can stop by for drop-in appointments, or make an appointment for one-on-one help with a Career Services advisor.  Career Services also offers workshops and career fairs throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters.  Online students can access Career Services online or over the phone. Thinking about graduate school? Career Services can help. Find more information here.

LIBRARY:  ASU’s Downtown Phoenix Library allows students the opportunity to conduct research, study, and work on group projects in a unique and academically encouraging environment. And it’s in the same building as the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.  Enrolling as an ASU student also provides access to thousands of electronic books, journals, newspapers and Lexus-Nexus online.  Visit the Libraries website here.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION:  Need to know where to park?  How much it will cost, or get a discounted pass for using public transit? Parking and transit provides a variety of services that assist students with commuting to and from ASU.  From commuting by vehicle, intercampus shuttle, or light rail, there is sure to be an option that meets all transportation needs. Find more information at the Parking and Transit website here.
