Arizona Attorney General's Financial Remedies Section seeking interns

The Arizona Attorney General's Financial Remedies Section is seeking interns to assist the Seized Property Manager, who manages all property aspects of civil forfeiture cases and post-judgment disposition of property, including inventory and management of seized and forfeited assets. Property management includes tracking assets from the time seized through the entire forfeiture process, liquidating forfeited assets and completing distributions to either law enforcement agencies or victims. The property manager works with law enforcement agencies, vendors and case attorneys regarding property matters.

This is a great opportunity to learn about property management as it pertains to the asset forfeiture process and to gain experience in tracking assets utilizing a database; to interact with case attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and vendors regarding property management matters; to gain knowledge of accounting principles used in property management; and to learn more about the legal procedures for this unique area of law.

Ideal candidates for these positions will be proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and MS Access. Additionally, problem solving, attention to detail, and accuracy are important skills for these positions.

For more information, please contact Shereen Marino, Seized Property Manager, by calling 602-542-8483.
