Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration (Internship)

ORAM—Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration is a California-based non-profit organization with a mission to advocate for refugees fleeing sexual or gender based persecution. ORAM conducts international education and advocacy on behalf of these highly vulnerable individuals.

ORAM- Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration is seeking highly qualified and dedicated  interns  to conduct a systematic review of  the literature  worldwide  on  the  special  challenges  experienced  in  detention  by  lesbian,  gay,  bisexual,  transgender  and  intersex  persons.
 
Requirements

  • Criminal  Justice  students,  particularly  those  with  an  interest  in  gender  studies,  political science,  or  international  studies  are  encouraged  to  apply. 
  • Exceptional research  and  writing  skills,  as  well  as  the  ability  to  work  independently. 



Internship Requirements:

  • Application”. Applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. 

 

 

Internship Details:

  • Unpaid
  • A minimum of 35 hours per week for a 10-week period during the

   summer 2011.
